About Dr. Loomis
Dr. Loomis' interest in the use of herbs and enzymes began
when he had the opportunity to bring the theoretical work of
Edward Howell, MD, the food enzyme pioneer, into the clinic.
After meeting Dr. Howell, Dr. Loomis formulated his first
complete line of food enzyme products for professionals in
1985 and has since accumulated an extensive background in
the creation of clinically effective enzyme supplements.
Today, the enzyme nutrition field is exploding with new
information and cutting-edge technology. With his exciting
approach to health and wellness, Dr. Loomis is showing other
practitioners how diet and digestion can play a role in
chronic complaints and degenerative diseases.
He is currently lecturing on the benefits of nutritional
enzymes in the maintenance of health, writes a monthly
column in The Chiropractic Journal, is an editorial
advisor for The American Chiropractor, and has had
articles appear in various trade journals. In addition, he
has authored a book titled, Enzymes: The Key to Health,
the first in a multi-book series on enzymes, digestion, and
health. His knowledge of physiology, biochemistry, and
enzymology has made him a sought-after speaker for radio
shows, chiropractic college homecomings, and other special
events.
Dr. Loomis is the founder and president of Enzyme
Formulations®, Inc. and of
Loomis Institute™ of Enzyme
Nutrition (formerly 21st Century Nutrition®). He has forged
a remarkable career as an educator, having conducted over
400 seminars in the United States and abroad on the
diagnosis and treatment of enzyme deficiency syndromes.
